Curtea Europeana a Drepturilor Omului, cu sediul in Strasbourg, este o instanta internationala fondata in anul 1959.
Competentele sale se extind asupra plangerilor depuse de indivizi sau state si prin care se invoca incalcari ale drepturilor civile si politice, asa cum sunt ele garantate in textul Conventiei Europene a Drepturilor Omului. incepand cu anul 1998, aceasta functioneaza ca o Curte unica si permanenta, la care orice persoana fizica are acces direct.
In decursul a 50 de ani de activitate, Curtea a pronuntat un numar de peste 10 000 de hotarari. Deciziile sale sunt obligatorii pentru toate statele vizate, iar de nenumarate ori acestea au condus la modificari majore in legislatia si practica administrativa a statelor membre in domenii dintre cele mai diverse. Prin intermediul jurisprudentei Curtii, Conventia a devenit un adevarat instrument „viu”, capabil sa faca fata in permanenta provocarilor si sa consolideze statul de drept si democratia in Europa.
Curtea supravegheaza respectarea drepturilor omului pentru 800 de milioane de europeni din cele 47 de state membre ale Consiliului Europei si care au ratificat Conventia.

Curtea Europeana a Drepturilor Omului este o instanta internationala infiintata in anul 1959, cu sediul permanent in Strasbourg, Franta. Prin deciziile adoptate, Curtea este chemata sa solutioneze plangerile depuse de indivizi sau state care se pretind victime ale uneia sau mai multor incalcari ale drepturilor civile si politice garantate prin Conventia Europeana a Drepturilor Omului.
„Schema Juristilor Asistenti”, dezvoltata in cadrul Curtii, este menita sa ofere oricarei persoane cu pregatire juridica, aflata la inceputul carierei sale, oportunitatea de a cunoaste direct modul de functionare al Curtii. De asemenea, programele specializate de pregatire organizate in cadrul Grefei permit un contact permanent cu juristii experimentati, precum si cu judecatorii.
Pe parcursul activitatii, juristul va examina si solutiona cereri individuale, va redacta decizii si rapoarte, va oferi reclamantilor sfaturi in privinta criteriilor de admisibilitate a plangerilor, va lua parte la sedintele Curtii, va sfatui si pregati colegii mai putin experimentati. Prin urmare, este necesar ca juristul sa fi obtinut licenta in drept pe teritoriul Romaniei, avand cunostinte temeinice de drept constitutional si international. De asemenea, un minimum de experienta profesionala este util. Cerintele minime pentru ocuparea postului vizeaza o cunoastere aprofundata a sistemului juridic roman, competente informatice, precum si o abordare organizata si metodica a activitatii profesionale.

European Court of Human Rights
The European Court of Human Rights, based in Strasbourg, is an international court set up in 1959. It rules on individual or State applications alleging violations of the civil and political rights set out in the European Convention on Human Rights. Since 1998 it has sat as a full-time court and individuals can apply to it directly.
In almost fifty years the Court has delivered more than 10,000 judgments. These are binding on the countries concerned and have led governments to alter their legislation and administrative practice in a wide range of areas. The Court’s case-law makes the Convention a powerful living instrument for meeting new challenges and consolidating the rule of law and democracy in Europe.
The Court monitors respect for the human rights of 800 million Europeans in the 47 Council of Europe member States that have ratified the Convention.

Based in Strasbourg, France, the European Court of Human Rights is an international court set up in 1959. It rules on individual or State applications alleging violations of the civil and political rights set out in the European Convention on Human Rights. Our Assistant Lawyers’ Scheme offers legal professionals at the start of their careers invaluable exposure to the European Court of Human Rights.
Enjoying our highly regarded in-house training programme, you will benefit from regular contact with experienced case lawyers, senior managers and judges. From day to day, you will find yourself examining and dealing with applications, drafting decisions and reports, advising applicants on admissibility, attending the Court's sessions, presenting applications and supporting more seasoned colleagues. Consequently, you will require a law degree gained in Romania, giving you broad knowledge of constitutional and international law. Some professional practice experience would be useful, but above all you will be well versed in the Romanian legal system, highly IT literate and extremely organised and methodical in your approach.
